• The medal shall only be awarded to member of Tamil Nadu Police Finger Print Bureau from the rank of SI (Finger Print) to the SP (Finger Print).
• It shall be awarded :
(i) for uniqueness and innovation in dactylography and/or dactyloseopy having a potentially increase the probability of infallibility in indentifying the author of the chance print.
(ii) for winning a gold medal or first place in scientific aids to investigation and recognition in a national forum like NCRB, etc., for outstanding contribution.
(iii) for tracing and developing of finger prints in high risk and challenging environment, which contribute to the detection of a sensational case.
(iv) for those who successfully identify maximum number of chance prints in a year.
(v) for awarding a medal for serial no. (i) to (iv), there shall be a gap of three years.
(vi) for conspicuous devotion to duty over a period of 10 years in service. for consideration under this clause seniority should be taken into account. members will be eligible only once in their servic • Total number of Medals awarded every year-2
